Your appointment may be:

Please let us know if you are interested in a telephone or video call appointment.

How to get an appointment

You'll be referred to our service by your GP or a specialist, usually from the Medical Specialist Group in Guernsey.

Changing your appointment

If you do not attend your appointment, we'll phone to check on you and rearrange the appointment if needed.

Before your appointment

We'll contact you before your appointment to arrange blood or urine tests if needed.

Please bring:

  • a list of medication you take

During your appointment

Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before your appointment time. 

You'll see one of our kidney consultants. If this is your first appointment, it will last around 40 minutes. Follow-up appointments last up to 20 minutes.

We may need to carry out checks such as:

  • blood pressure
  • your weight
  • blood test
  • urine test

After your appointment

We'll write to you, your GP and any other specialists involved in your care with details of your consultation. Our team will contact you if we need to arrange a follow-up appointment.
