Overview
Infected blood psychological service
The national Infected Blood Psychological Service (IBPS) was set up in response to the recommendations from the Infected Blood Inquiry.
We provide personalised social and psychological support for people infected by contaminated blood or blood products.
Our service is also available to anyone who has been affected through family or close relationships.
It is a bespoke service which has been designed following research and feedback from communities directly impacted.
Our team includes:
- psychologists
- a specialist social worker/navigator
We work closely with other services in London providing this support at The Royal Free Hospital and The Royal London Hospital (Barts).
