In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, face-to-face groups are no longer taking place. However, there is still lots of help available. Our Facebook page has details of our daily Zoom drop-ins and you can email us on email@example.com to arrange a call or face-to-face appointment if necessary.
We have set up breastfeeding groups in Lambeth and breastfeeding cafés in Southwark to provide a comfortable environment for women to breastfeed.
They offer a place where you can go with your babies to receive information and support from health visitors, midwives and peer supporters who have undergone training to enable them to support breastfeeding mothers.
Visit a Lambeth breastfeeding group or Southwark breastfeeding café at one of the sessions listed below.
Lambeth baby feeding service
If you live in Lambeth our baby feeding service can help you with feeding your baby at any stage, whether you are breast, mixed or bottle feeding. You are welcome to come and see us during your pregnancy.
The feeding service in Lambeth is run by trained peer supporters from the Breastfeeding Network, plus health visitors who attend the groups on a rotational basis. If you need extra support you can be referred to the specialist infant feeding midwives who can see you by appointment in one of their groups.
If you have any further questions about feeding your baby, call the peer support service on 07394 724 599, 9.30am-2.30pm Monday-Wednesday and from 9am-2pm on Thursday and Friday.
Lambeth breastfeeding support groups
These groups are led by health visitors and peer supporters. You will find plenty of support to help you feed your baby and it’s a great way to meet other local parents. Partners are very welcome.
These groups are a drop in service-you do not need an appointment. You will need to bring your baby’s red book so that other carers can see any feeding plans we make.
