The Assisted Conception Unit and clinical genetics service are constantly striving to improve treatment outcomes for our patients. Assisted reproduction technology including pre-implantation genetic diagnosis has progressed vastly due to past research. However, much is still unknown.
We are licenced by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority to undertake scientific projects which are important for the continuing development of treatment. Dozens of scientific publications have been possible due to the expertise of our team of clinicians and scientists.
You may be asked if you would be interested in participating in research, either by answering questions about your experience, or donating sperm, eggs, and/or embryos. You are under no obligation to donate, or to participate in any research. Your eggs, sperm, and embryos donated to research are never used to treat other patients.
