Medicines helpline

Pharmacy

If you have any questions or concerns about medicines you have received from us, you can contact our confidential Pharmacy Medicines Helpline.

The helpline is run by a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

We can help you with:

  • when and how to take your medicine
  • taking other medicines at the same time
  • advice about side effects
  • how to get a further supply

Before you contact us, please ensure that you have your hospital number, and a list of all of the medicines that you are currently taking. This includes:

  • prescribed medicines
  • anything that you buy yourself, such as:
    • over-the-counter medicines
    • vitamins
    • herbal medicines.

We can only answer questions about medicines that have been prescribed for you at Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospitals, or the Royal Brompton & Harefield hospitals. If you are not a patient at any of these hospitals, then please get in touch with your local hospital, GP, or community pharmacy for advice.
