Medicines helpline
Pharmacy
If you have any questions or concerns about medicines you have received from us, you can contact our confidential Pharmacy Medicines Helpline.
The helpline is run by a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
We can help you with:
- when and how to take your medicine
- taking other medicines at the same time
- advice about side effects
- how to get a further supply
Before you contact us, please make sure you have your hospital number, and a list of all of the medicines that you are currently taking. This includes:
- prescribed medicines
- anything that you buy yourself, such as:
- over-the-counter medicines
- vitamins
- herbal medicines
We can only answer questions about medicines that have been prescribed for you at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, or the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals. If you are not a patient at any of these hospitals, please contact your local hospital, GP, or community pharmacy for advice.
Health information
We have information about herbal remedies and dietary supplements.
We recommend that you do not take herbal products or certain dietary supplements if you're taking prescribed medicines.
