Rapid diagnostic clinic (RDC)

We provide fast-track testing and diagnosis for people with vague but concerning symptoms.

Your GP can send you to us if you do not fit the referral criteria for our cancer or other specialist services.

We aim to provide a quick diagnosis and put a treatment plan in place.

Our team includes consultants, advanced nurse practitioners and clinical support assistants.

Our clinic won the Health Service Journal award for integrated care partnership in 2020.

Research and clinical trials

Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They'll be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.

Clinic times

Our RDC clinic runs on:

  • Monday, 9pm to 5pm
  • Tuesday, 9am to 5pm
  • Wednesday, 9am to 5pm

Blood tests

You can have your blood tests done at the genetics department during RDC clinic times.
