This page lists leaflets produced or used by our department. Each leaflet is reviewed at least every three years to make sure it is kept up to date.

Mallet finger - initial information

Description:
This sheet describes some exercises you should do each day to help your finger to heal. It also tells you what you should and should not do.

Managing daily tasks with one hand

Description:
This leaflet gives information, hints and tips on how to complete daily tasks with one hand.

Mepiform silicone gel

Description:
This information sheet provides you with information about Mepiform silicon gel and tells you how to use it.

Occupational therapy in POPS

Sensory re-education

Description:
This leaflet gives you more information about using sensory re-education as a way to help you to recover from your hand injury if your nerves have been injured. It also teaches you how to recognise different textures and shapes with your injured hand.

This leaflet explains more about the use of a soft stretch extension splint.

This leaflet shows you how to perform the hand exercises your therapist has given you.

Thumb active movement exercises

Description:
This leaflet gives you exercises to help you recover from your hand injury or surgery.
