In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, please read our advice and information before attending the service.
The musculoskeletal physiotherapy service at Guy's and St Thomas' has been developed with local general practitioners (GPs) to provide seamless, high quality musculoskeletal care to the residents of Lambeth and Southwark.
We provide consultations and a range of treatment options for all musculoskeletal conditions including lower back pain through to athletic sports injuries. You will be assessed by a physiotherapist and provided with a diagnosis and possible management options which may include:
- advice and exercises
- one to one physiotherapy
- exercise classes specific for to your condition
- hydrotherapy (exercise in water at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital sites)
- shockwave treatment
We aim to provide all patients with expert assessment, diagnosis and evidence based treatment plans for their musculoskeletal condition. We believe it is important that we work together with you to produce a treatment plan that is meaningful to you and your lifestyle.
Our background as a teaching hospital means our physiotherapy teams have a range of highly specialist knowledge, clinical experience and post graduate education. As a result of the diversity in our teams, we have access to investigations when they are needed to assist with planning treatment including x-rays, MRI scans and blood tests.
