DrDoctor appointment reminder service

Patients and visitors

More in this section

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is working in partnership with DrDoctor to offer an online, smartphone and advanced text messaging service, which is designed to make it easier for you to manage your appointments at our hospitals and clinics.

Reminders by text or email

If we have your mobile number, DrDoctor will send you text or email reminder messages about your appointments and also allow you to request other appointment slots should you need to reschedule. Depending on the service, you may also be asked if you’d like to opt-in to ‘see me sooner’ which offers short notice available appointment slots.

In some services, such as dental, you may be invited via text message to book your follow-up appointment when this is due, and choose an available date and time.

To enable us to deliver our services, DrDoctor will have access to your contact information but not to detailed information about your health.

DrDoctor is accredited to the highest standards set by the NHS for protecting the healthcare information of UK citizens. For more information, see the DrDoctor privacy policy.

Please make sure we have the right contact details for you. You can check or make changes to your details online, by calling or emailing us, or at reception on your next visit to the hospital.
