Adult audiology centre

We care for adults with hearing and balance difficulties.

Our service includes:

  • hearing tests, including tests tailored for adults with intellectual or cognitive difficulties
  • auditory pathway tests
  • fitting, adjustment, and maintenance of hearing aids
  • aural rehabilitation to help with managing hearing difficulties, tinnitus, and hyperacusis
  • home visits
  • balance tests

We are a teaching hospital for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

We carry out research related to the assessment and treatment of hearing and balance in partnership with other services.

Research and clinical trials

Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They will be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.
