Information for patients


Please see some answers to common questions we have received during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

If you are concerned or have a query about a lesion please take a photograph of the area of concern and email it with your full name, date of birth and hospital number to If you can please try to take:

  • a photograph from a distance so we can see where the lesion is located
  • a close up of the lesion
  • and the lesion from different angles so we can see how thick or flat it is.

Frequently asked questions

  • I have been referred to the service but I have not heard anything

    We have received your referral but are currently not scheduling any new patients unless clinically urgent. You will remain on our waiting list and we will be in touch with you in due course.

  • I am worried that I might have coronavirus (COVID-19)

    Please call NHS 111 for advice. 

  • I am on medication prescribed by your team and I am not sure if I should stop taking them

    Do not stop any medication unless specifically told to do so by your clinical team. 

  • I have symptoms that I am worried about
