Biography: Erin trained as a nurse in Australia with a focus on A&E. She travelled to the UK in 2008 and joined St Thomas’ Hospital as an agency nurse in the dermatology surgery department. It was here Erin developed an interest in skin cancer. Erin has obtained valuable skills such as skin cancer screening, performing minor surgery as well as providing other kinds of treatments for skin cancer such as photodynamic therapy and patient education.
Education and training: Bachelor of Nursing (University of Technology, Sydney), postgraduate certificate in tissue viability (Kings College University, London), minor surgery course (Dundee), dermoscopy, photodynamic therapy.
Specialist interests: non melanoma skin cancer and treatments, skin cancer diagnosis and patient awareness/education, in depth wound care and tissue viability.
