Glomerular diseases, lupus and vasculitis

We're a specialist service treating glomerular diseases, lupus or vasculitis.

Glomerular diseases affect how the kidneys work. They attack the filters inside your kidneys where blood is cleaned (glomeruli).

Lupus and vasculitis are diseases that can affect different parts of the body such as joints, skin, lungs, and the kidneys.

We work with other specialities including rheumatology to provide the best possible care. We run a clinic at the same time as a rheumatology lupus clinic. You can be seen in both clinics on the same day if appropriate.

If you need to stay in hospital for treatment, we'll usually care for you on our specialist kidney wards:

You may also stay on our urology wards:

Research and clinical trials

Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They'll be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.

We carry out clinical research into glomerular diseases, lupus and vasculitis. You'll be invited to take part in research studies when suitable.

You can also email [email protected] for more information.
