Changing or cancelling your appointment
If you need to change or cancel your appointment for any reason, contact the IMD administrators on 020 7188 4004 or email gst-tr.adultmetabolic@nhs.net.
Please tell us as soon as possible so we can offer your appointment to another patient.

Before your appointment
Please bring your medicines with you to the appointment.
-
During your appointment
You will be seen by a doctor. However, other team members may also be present such as the clinical nurse specialist and/or a metabolic dietitian.
On occasion, we may have students or visitors who may be present at your appointment in order to observe the team. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, please inform a member of the team immediately.
The length of your appointment will be based on your individual needs.
-
After your appointment
You will put on the waiting list for a follow-up appointment. Your appointment will be sent to you a few months in advance with a reminder letter being sent to you two weeks before you are due to be seen.
We will send a letter to the referring doctor and your GP within a week and will send you a copy of the letter unless you tell us you do not wish to receive it.
