Medicine collection lockers

If you hand in your prescription at Boots Pharmacy at Guy's Hospital, you may be able to collect your medicines later from one of our secure medicine collection lockers.

This service lets you collect your medicines when it is convenient for you, without waiting at the pharmacy while your prescription is prepared.

Benefits of using a medicine collection locker

• You can collect your medicines any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
• You can leave the hospital once you've handed in your prescription and come back later to collect your medicines.
• Someone else can collect your medicines for you.
• Your medicines are stored safely and securely until you collect them.

How to use a medicine collection locker

You'll need a smartphone to use this service.

1. Give your mobile phone number to Boots Pharmacy when you hand in your prescription.
2. When your medicines are ready, Boots will send you a text message with a link to the locker website. You'll need to collect your medicines within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving the text message.
3. When you arrive at Guy's Hospital, connect to the hospital Wi-Fi.
4. Open the link in the text message on your phone when you're at the medicine lockers.
5. Follow the instructions on screen, enter your date of birth and swipe to unlock the locker.
6. Remove all your medicines before closing the locker. Once the locker is closed, it cannot be reopened.

If you'd like someone else to collect your medicines, you can either:

• give Boots their mobile phone number when you hand in your prescription, or
• forward them the text message you receive from Boots

They'll need to enter your date of birth to open the locker and collect your medicines.
