About the clinic
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is where the joints of the body become inflamed and cause pain and tenderness.
The clinic uses the skills of consultants, nurses, occupational therapists and a psychologist to treat rheumatoid arthritis. This approach has been successful in improving outcomes for patients with RA, compared to treatment in normal rheumatology clinics.
The clinic runs at Guy's Hospital on the 4th floor of Tower Wing and is supported by a nurse helpline, the details of which will be given to patients once they have attended the clinic.
The clinic was originally set up with a three year grant from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
