Vascular surgery

How to get an appointment

The team who cares for you can refer you to our service.

Before being referred, they should talk to you about:

  • why vascular surgery is best for you
  • alternative treatment options

How to change or cancel your appointment

Phone: 020 7188 8881

  • option 1 for appointments
  • option 2 for admissions
  • option 3 for general queries

We answer the phone Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Email: [email protected]

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your appointment. If you do not let us know, we may discharge you back to your GP.

Before your appointment

Please bring:

  • a list of medicines you take
  • any letters or discharge summaries about recent procedures

Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before your appointment.

During your appointment

You'll be reviewed by a member of our vascular team. This will include examinations and scans if you need them.

They'll talk with you about the next steps.

If you have an appointment at our emergency vascular clinic you may be in the clinic for the whole day. This is so you can have any necessary tests and scans. Please be prepared to be at the hospital for several hours.

After your surgery

We'll send a letter to you, your GP and your care team.

We'll send you a text message and an appointment letter if you need a follow-up appointment.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
