PrEP is now available free through the NHS.
Patients who were previously on the IMPACT trial can ring our helpline on 020 7188 6666 for a telephone consultation with a clinician.
If you have not used PrEP before or if you have bought PrEP privately, please call our helpline on 020 7188 6666 to book a face-to-face appointment with a health advisor. We will discuss how PrEP works and explain the different ways to use it. We will also discuss your mental health, drug and alcohol use, and offer support if you would like it. You will get a check-up for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and we will offer vaccinations for hepatitis A and B and human papillomavirus (HPV) if you have not had them previously.
After this visit, we will arrange a phone call with a clinician in the next few days. They will go through your results and make arrangements for you to receive your PrEP.
Our helpline is extremely busy, and it can be quite a long wait on the line depending on when you ring. We recommend calling late afternoon as this is our quietest period.
PrEP is currently available at Burrell Street. We hope to offer PrEP at our Streatham Hill clinic soon.
