Overview

Transplant support

We care for you if your kidney transplant is failing.

Most kidney transplants eventually fail and you then need another transplant or return to dialysis.

We work with you to develop a management plan for your condition. This includes your preferred method of dialysis. We also provide support if you need another transplant and are back on the waiting list.

We work closely with:

  • the vascular access clinic
  • dietitians
  • psychologists, kidney anaemia and kidney supportive care team
  • our own and neighbouring dialysis providers in and around London

We provide a high-quality caring service to meet the needs of you and your carers.

If you need to stay in hospital you’ll usually be admitted to one of the kidney wards:

Research and clinical trials

Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They'll be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.

You can also contact [email protected] for more information.
