Our organisation
Evelina London is the most modern specialist children's hospital in London, designed with children and their families in mind. Co-located with St Thomas’, it is the only specialist children’s hospital that offers full life-course care, providing comprehensive health services for families from before birth, through childhood and adolescence, and into adult life.
Together with the Royal Brompton Hospital, Evelina London is one of the UK’s leading centres for children’s heart and lung care. Our teams pioneer new treatments and undertake research to give our youngest patients the best possible start in life.
Our care doesn’t stop at the hospital doors. Evelina London also provides community health services for more than 120,000 children and young people a year from across Lambeth, Southwark, and beyond. This includes outreach services and specialist networks for services such as kidney care, cardiac, neurology and neonatal medicine.
We also run the South Thames paediatric intensive care retrieval service, bringing critically ill children to our intensive care unit in specially designed ambulances.
Our specialist neonatal unit cares for around 1,000 babies each year, including those who are critically unwell. We know that every baby’s story is different, and we’re proud to have some of the best survival rates in the UK, alongside a team that offers expert, compassionate care for families facing the most difficult moments.

Evelina London offers a unique range of services from antenatal diagnosis through to childhood, into adolescence and on into adult life.
Children's services at Evelina London are mainly located in our state-of-the-art building alongside St Thomas' Hospital, but we also provide care to young patients in the community in Lambeth and Southwark.
