We are exceptionally grateful to the more than 3,000 generous patients, families, supporters and Trust staff who together raised an incredible £1.1million – by donating, running, cycling, climbing, abseiling, baking and dancing – to help make the Cancer Centre a reality.
Thanks to them, we’ve been able to build our new Cancer Centre at Guy’s, which will use the latest technology to treat around 6,500 cancer patients a year. It will deliver most of Guy’s and St Thomas’ cancer treatments, meaning that patients can be provided with seamless care in one location.
From the start, the Cancer Centre was designed with patients in mind – inspiring artwork, smooth lines and colourful surroundings. We hope that by providing a warm and welcoming environment it will give much-needed comfort at such a difficult time.

David Giles was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010. He received life-saving treatment at Guy’s and is now on the road to making a full recovery.
"If it wasn’t for Guy’s I wouldn’t be here today, they saved my life," he says. "The level of continuity and professionalism and expertise is second to none. I can vouch for that – I’ve seen and done it, bought the T-shirt and am back on the street." Read more of David's story.
