Woman working in pharmacy.There is a Lloyds pharmacy in the Sainsbury’s store on Great Maze Pond, between Guy’s Hospital and London Bridge Station. There is also a Lloyds pharmacy at St Thomas' Hospital. You may be advised to visit the pharmacy to collect your medication before you go home.
If you have questions about your medication, please ask to talk to your pharmacist.
If you have any questions about your medication when you are at home, you can call our pharmacy medicines helpline for advice on 020 7188 8748 (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm).
After you go home
Contacting your key worker
You can arrange to talk to your key worker
(a clinical nurse specialist or advanced practice radiographer) by calling 020 7188 7188 from 8.30am-6.30pm. They can answer any questions you have about your treatment.
What to do if you feel unwell
If you are experiencing any side effects from your treatment or are feeling unwell, please contact acute oncology.
This service is available 24/7 on 020 7188 3754. Calls made outside of Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.15pm will be directed to switchboard who can contact the on-call doctor.
A healthcare professional will advise you what you need to do next.
Questions about your appointments
If you have questions about your appointments, you will find the contact number for the department you are visiting on your appointment letter. If you do not have this, please contact the relevant department or bookings team via our main switchboard on 020 7188 7188.
NHS 111 and NHS website
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can provide patient information and if necessary refer people to emergency services. Across South East London, NHS 111 can issue prescriptions to a pharmacy of your choice and book a face to face appointment if you need one. You can either phone NHS 111 or go to 111 online for assistance.
The NHS website provides online information and guidance on all aspects of health and healthcare, to help you make choices about your health.

Your comments and feedback matter
We are very keen to hear your comments so that we can improve our services and care. You can share your views or complaints with your key worker or any other member of staff caring for you.
You may be asked to complete the Friends and Family Test, which asks ’How likely are you to recommend our hospital to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?’
External organisations, such as the Care Quality Commission, also ask us to carry out patient surveys to monitor the quality of care we provide.
