Coronavirus: neurology update
In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, please read our advice and information before attending the service.
For our children's neurophysiology services, see Children's neurophysiology.
Clinical neurophysiology is a medical speciality that studies the central and peripheral nervous systems or PNS.
The central and peripheral nervous system consists of nerve cells or neurons, which send and carry electrical 'messages' through your body.
Clinical neurophysiology measures the spontaneous or stimulated electrical activity generated by these cells to diagnose a range of neurological disorders.
