Clinical electro-encephalography

Electro-encephalography, also known as EEG, records the electrical messages from the brain. It is the single, most useful tool for diagnosing people with suspected epilepsy.

If you have epilepsy, the EEG can be used to find out what type of epilepsy you have, so we can treat you in the best way.

The EEG is also a valuable test to assess the brain function in other neurological conditions that include meningitis, encephalitis, toxic or metabolic encephalopathies and dementias.

Our neurophysiology and epilepsies department is equipped with the latest, state of the art, video EEG digital equipment, and employs the most advanced and sophisticated activation methods, in an attempt to tailor the EEG recording to the your needs. This practice increases the diagnostic yield of the test.
