Coronavirus: maternity services update

Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we understand that many of you will be worried about the situation and the impact it will have on your pregnancy and care. We have created a list of frequently asked questions to reassure you in this difficult time. You should also read about the changes we have made to our community midwifery services and specific advice for women who are breastfeeding.

Maternity Assessment Unit

Emergency and follow-up care for women with pregnancy problems who are over 18 weeks gestation takes places at our maternity assessment unit.

Neonatal contacts

Are you in labour?

Please call us on 020 7188 2975 and we will give you advice on when to come in.

The Home from Home Birth Centre (midwife-led unit) reception is open 8am to 7pm weekdays and 9am to 4pm at weekends.

At other times you will need to go first to the 
Hospital Birth Centre who provide reception out of hours.

Problems in  pregnancy

If you experience bleeding, pain or severe vomiting and are more than 18 weeks pregnant contact our maternity assessment unit on:
