This page lists leaflets produced or used by our department. Each leaflet is reviewed at least every three years to make sure it is kept up to date.

Many patient leaflets are tailored to your individual needs and management programme. However, a list of more general leaflets that may be useful to you is provided below.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (hamstring graft) - Physiotherapy

This leaflet provides more information about your ACL reconstruction. It includes advice, exercises to aid your recovery and guidance on what to expect when you attend hospital.

This leaflet provides information about dizziness and balance difficulties.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo

This leaflet gives some information about benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

Cancer - Physical activity following cancer diagnosis

The aim of this leaflet is to offer information on why and how you can be active during and after your cancer treatment, and provides exercise examples and guidance on how to do them safely.

Caring for my arm

This booklet is for people who have a neurological disability and their carers. It is aimed at people who cannot use their hand or arm at all. It contains exercises and advice on how to care for the arm.

Continuous passive motion (CPM) machine

The leaflet provides information about a CPM machine, an electronic machine that slowly and gently helps your knee to bend following surgery, when it feels tight and stiff.

COPD - Who to contact if you feel unwell

The Integrated Respiratory Team can provide you with advice and support if you feel that your symptoms are getting worse. This leaflet gives you more information on how you can get in touch if you feel unwell.
