Preventing kidney disease in African, Caribbean and Asian communities

Description:
If you are of African, Caribbean or Asian descent you are up to three to four times more likely to develop high blood pressure and diabetes than the general population. The aim of this leaflet is to tell you about the steps you can take to stay healthy and reduce your risks of heart attack, stroke and chronic kidney disease.

Prostate tests explained

Male transplant patients who have taken immune suppressing medication for over 10 years may be at risk of prostate cancer. However, it is not known whether or not this is different to the general population. Prostate cancer is diagnosed through a series of tests.
