We provide a range of specialist medical services across both hospitals and in the community.
Inpatient services are provided from dedicated older persons wards at St Thomas' Hospital, with outpatient clinics held at both hospitals.
Our specialties page gives more information about the services we provide.
Activity promotion project
We are running an activity promotion project which is a pilot funded by the Guy's and St Thomas' Charity.
We have a team of volunteers on the Older Persons Unit to keep you engaged and active during your hospital stay.
You might enjoy a chat or a game at your bedside, walking around the ward, taking a trip downstairs or meeting our pet therapy dog.
Please tell our volunteers what would brighten your day.
Photos celebrate older people
An exhibition of photographs showing positive images of ageing is creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors at St Thomas’ Hospital.
The photos displayed on the walls leading to the hospital’s Older Persons Unit, were taken by professional photographer Edward Webb and show patients from Guy’s and St Thomas’ and other people from the local community in south London.
Winifred Burraway, 92, who was one of the models, says: “I enjoyed having my picture taken and I’m really pleased with how it looks as part of the display. Everyone says what lovely photos they are.”
