You can be referred to our department by your GP or another healthcare professional.

Before your appointment
Please bring to your appointment a list of any current medication you are taking including prescription medication, medicine you have bought yourself and any alternative medicines, for example herbal remedies.
You may also find it useful to bring a list of any questions that you may have for the doctors.
What to expect at your appointment
At your appointment you can expect to see a consultant dermatologist and a clinical nurse specialist (CNS).
Doctors in training may also be in the clinic and may see you prior to or on behalf of the consultant.
You may see a number of clinical staff for different tests so please be prepared to be in our clinic for a couple of hours. You may also be asked to complete paperwork so that we have all the necessary information at your first attendance.
After your appointment
After your appointment we will send a letter to you and your local health team summarising your visit. If you do not wish to receive a copy of your clinic letter then please let our receptionist know.
You will also be advised of any follow-up appointments.
You will be given contact details of your CNS team for any concerns or queries.
