Coronavirus: multiple sclerosis community nursing service update

Due to increased demand on the hospital because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are having to make significant changes to our services. Unfortunately, some appointments are cancelled or postponed after clinical review.

Patients

We are currently running all of our clinics as telephone or video appointments and will notify you when we are able to begin face-to-face clinics or home visits again.

Existing patients

If you are an existing patient who has previously been seen in our service and need advice from the clinical team, please contact your multiple sclerosis (MS) nurse, email gst-tr.ms-nursing-service@nhs.net or telephone 020 3049 7961 (answerphone).

For medication queries such as delayed delivery or running out of disease modifying medication, or admin queries such as rescheduling an appointment or changing your contact details, please use the following contact details:

If you leave a message on the administration phone line it may be a few days before we are able to respond to your query.

Read our frequently asked questions for further information. If your query is not covered, please email or call us as appropriate.

GPs

We are doing everything we can to support GPs and patients during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. If you need advice from our clinical team, please use the current advice and guidance channels.

We are currently unable to conduct home visits.

Our frequently asked questions page has answers to common questions we have received from patients.
