We provide a full range of services for residents of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham, as well as specialist services for patients from across London, the south east and further afield.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) service

Description:
Providing information about magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans at Guy's and St Thomas'.

Aimed at patients who are having an operation in our main operating theatres, this explains what you can expect.

Male cardiovascular health clinic

Description:
The clinic aims to help male cardiac (heart) patients who are experiencing sexual problems. This affects a large proportion of cardiac patients, usually as erectile dysfunction, which is where there are problems achieving or maintaining an erection.

Mammography

Description:
The breast imaging unit provides an imaging service for patients who have been referred from their GP or hospital consultant because of breast symptoms such as a lump, nipple discharge or pain.

Maternity services

Description:

Maxillofacial Prosthetics Unit

Description:
The Maxillofacial Prosthetics Unit provides facial and body prostheses that are needed due to trauma, birth defects (congenital malformations) or surgery (for example, tumour removal).

Medical photography service

Description:
Our team of clinical photographers produce standardised photographs and videos to accurately demonstrate a range of clinical conditions.

Medical physics

Description:
Medical physics provides scientific and technical support to a wide range of clinical and support services within the Trust.

Metabolic bone clinic

Description:
This clinic provides specialist services for osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.

Microbiology

Description:
The infection service runs a number of specialist clinics for direct referral of patients with non-acute conditions. The outpatient services are based both at St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals and focus on virology, microbiology and infectious diseases.

Mobile blood tests

Description:
Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals have employed a mobile blood test (phlebotomy) service for our patients who are shielding, self-isolating, or due for a virtual appointment.

Molecular diagnostics laboratory - skin tumour unit

Description:
The molecular diagnostics laboratory forms part of the skin tumour unit. We are a tertiary referral centre for all forms of primary cutaneous lymphoma and malignant melanoma and have a strong international reputation for clinical excellence and research.

The musculoskeletal physiotherapy service provide initial consultations and a range of treatment options for all musculoskeletal conditions including simple lower back pain through to high level sports injuries.

Due to the nature of their work, musicians and performers are often at a higher risk of sustaining musculoskelatal problems.
